Over 13,000,000 babies are born prematurely world-wide every year.
In the United States, the premature birth rate has risen 36% in the last twenty-five years.
The stress of having a baby before the due date is immeasurable. I've been there - twice. I completely understand the whirlwind of fear, anxiety, and feelings of utter helplessness. Unlike most parents, our premature babies cannot come home with us. Breastfeeding mothers are often left pumping for weeks before their baby is strong enough to nurse on their own. This is a time of fear. You are not alone. There are many things that you can do to be a loving parent to your child in the neonatal intensive care unit. This is a place for you to ask questions and get advice. The most important thing for you to remember is that you are not alone. We at Bundles for Babies would love to hear from you. Please contact us and we'll make sure you get the support you and your family need during this time.
