So for the exciting news I mentioned in my last post, here it is!
First of all: World Prematurity Day is two days away (on Nov. 17), so read up here on what that means and how you can help!
Second: I was able to visit the March of Dimes Georgia Chapter headquarters in Atlanta this past week! -screams-
The last time I was able to visit HQ was when I was 12 years old, and here I am 7 years later, still going strong! The March of Dimes will be hosting a baby shower at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta at the end of this week. Sadly, I will not be able to make it since I will be in class. However, the MOD reached out to me and asked if I would be willing to sew blankets for the baby shower. OF COURSE I WOULD.
It was surreal to be able to meet this incredible team. Thank you so much for inviting me and allowing me to support in the best way I know how!
Finally, our team is going strong with fundraising, but we still have a long way to go! Please consider donating. A little goes such a long way! Check out our team page here.
Check out this sweet spread I was interviewed for when I was 13 in Liberty Life Magazine, page 16.
Check out this even more sweet letter written to a National American Miss director, way back when I was Miss Preteen Georgia in 2009, from then Field Services Director Laura Johnson. Laura, if you're out there, I miss you dearly!
Thank you for all the support!
It has been a minute since I have been able to get back on here to do an extended blog post. However, we have been donating like crazy people! We are very active on our Facebook! So please be sure to check those out as we continue to make donations. Check out our most recent ones:
In other exciting news, Bundles for Babies is going big this year and has accepted the challenge to walk in the March For Babies event in Atlanta! We have our team page here, so please sign up if you are in the area at the end of April. If not, there are other ways you can help through donation. We have set a pretty hefty goal this year, but I am confident that we can reach it!
Thank you to everyone for all of your support! I have some exciting news headed your way soon!
